Absolutely do not shop around for the best price!!! This is a trade in which you must consider knowledge, experience and talent. If the artist cannot show you photos of their work in their own place of business, they are hiding something. All good artists are proud to show their portfolios and this clearly expresses why some charge more than others. This is not a situation in which to barter, you pay an hourly rate for time and expertise.
